The Big Run Fire Dept. was chartered in 1940. We re-branded as the Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company to better reflect the area that we serve.

We provide fire, rescue and EMS services to the municipalities of Big Run Borough, Gaskill Township, Henderson Township & Bell Township in Jefferson County and Banks Township in Indiana County.

  • Fall Gun Raffle

    The annual fall gun raffle is Saturday, November 22, 2025. Doors open at 4:30pm and the gun drawings start at 6:30pm. 15 guns & 5 cash prizes are on the ticket. But wait, there’s more!!! 4 rounds of extra guns, the mystery gun, the “furniture & a gun”, Robert Marshal Memorial Veteran Gun, 1st Responder Gun, Last Badger Standing guns…

    A full meal and beverages are provided along with music and entertainment. As always, we have huge 50/50’s to giveaway, rip tickets, train games… it’s like it might never end!

    Tickets are only $20 and there’s only 1200 total sold so get yours before they are gone.

    The Badger 500 is BINGO with big, big payouts. Each games pays out $500 (20 total games). The Jackpot game pays out $4,000. A meal is also served. Tickets are $100 but only 250 tickets will be sold.

    You’ll get the first chance to buy your ticket each and every year. It’s like Badger 500 “season tickets”.

    Once you’re in, you’re in.

    BINGO is on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday every month.

    Payouts are $100 per game (20 regular games) and a $1,000 Jackpot game to end the night. Early Birds, Progressive Games, Mini-Jackpots are also available.
